Since becoming a driving instructor I have wanted to produce a package where students can learn above and beyond the DSA driving test. BTEC in Driving Science

Accredited by EdExcel and equivalent to a GCSE, this is the worlds first academic qualification in driver training and your chance to learn to drive more safely and save money on insurance.

The a²om BTEC in Driving Science is taught during your normal driving lessons, on completion of the BTEC, the pupil will have gained a full UK driving licence and will have reached an advanced standard of driving, inclusive of motorway and night driving.

The BTEC has been designed around the European Goals for Driver Education (GDE Matrix), whose four levels not only address the practical skills needed for driving, but also address the attitude, beliefs and behaviour of the novice driver from the beginning of the learning to drive process.

The BTEC in Driving Science is separated into 5 training modules, each module has an element of in-car training or online assessment as follows:

• Driving Skills and Risk

• Safe Interaction with Other Road Users

• Environmental Driving

• Driving Responsibilities and Self Evaluation

• Safe Driving Behaviour

You will be taught by an a²om affiliate approved driving instructor (ADI), using the most up-to-date teaching methods available.

You will be taught above and beyond test standard and increase your chances of passing first time.

Your approved driving instructor is independently monitored by EdExcel for delivery standards of the BTEC in Driving Science.
