Target Tuition - Driver Training
Choosing a
driving instructor is your first step towards safe driving. Driving is a life skill and
you need someone who can show you not only what is required to pass
today's demanding driving test but also to ensure you have the
skills and ability to become a safe driver.
The majority of driving
instructors are self-employed and work independently, whilst some work with larger
driving schools.
Keith Hepburn trained to become an approved driving instructor (ADI) in 2001,
with one of the largest driving instructor training colleges in the
country. 'The Instructor College' (TIC).
All approved driving
instructors have to pass a demanding three-part exam. A multiply choice 'Theory Test' and
'Hazard
Perception Test' (Part 1), a 'Driving Ability
Test' (Part2), and an 'Instructional Ability Test' (Part 3). The driving ability and
instructional ability tests are limited to 3 attempts, which makes
the qualifying very demanding.

Some instructors after passing
the 'Driving Ability Test' (Part 2), choose to gain
experience by using a trainee licence
( or pink badge),
they have not passed the 'Instructional
Ability Test' (Part 3), and may never do so.
Keith Hepburn
has passed all three qualifying exams and is
registered on the list of
Approved Driving Instructors, and received
one of the highest grades achievable.
I started my instructors career with
the AA driving school as a franchised driving instructor, and have
successfully run my own business since April 2006.
Each year I
continue to achieve a pass rate that is well above the national
average and follow a course of Continued Professional
Development (CPD).
Taking the
time to find a professional driving
instructor is very important. Choosing
a driving school based on price alone
may be money wasted.
